Hello! I have been using adsl internet for five years then they finally brought vdsl2 service after five years and i upgraded it.After seven years of using copper line internet, they finally got on my nerve 'cause i always wanted 5 mbps upload speed and 50mbps download speed at least but they did not even try to upgrade their speed,in seven years they just updated their internet upload speed to 2,5 mbps from 1 mbps, really? I was really angry because i was not even able to watch 1080p video in 7 years sometimes i was able to but usually i watched everything in 720 in past seven years and it was taking a very long time to upload a 2-3gb video on youtube. Then i decided to buy cable internet and canceled copper internet isp,my current internet speed is 50 mbps download and 5 mbps upload speed... but there is the thing in Turkey where i live,if you reach 100 gb your internet speed is will decrease to 16 mbps from 50 mbps, with 16 mbps internet i am still able to watch 2k video on youtube without a problem but on copper line internet with 24mbps internet i was barely able to watch 2k video, how this can be possible? I know cable internet is being shared with neighbours but if you compere rg6 u4 cable to copper cable which is better in term of use?

Vdsl2 vs cable internet which is better for you?

Cable can handle better speeds I believe due to better shielding (telephone has none) and not having to share with voice frequencies (VDSL2 had to block off these frequencies for voice only).

You definitely shouldn't have had issues with YouTube on 24Mbit though, AFAIK that should handle 4K even though the real-world speed will be slightly less due to overheads.

Cable hands down. Here in the US, most of the phone companies are walking away  from the cooper on the poles because most of it needs to be replaced. DSL have strict distance limitations. While cable not so much. I think VDSL tops out at maybe 100 Mbps, Comcast one of the top cable co's here in the US provides 1 Gbps down and 35 Mbps up on coax. That is the fastest they provide on coax. They also offer fiber to a limited number of people as well. The DOCSIS 3.1 standard that cable co's are upgrading to can do 10 Gbps down 2 Gbps up in its current form. Full Duplex Docsis 3.1 can do 10 Gbps symmetrical. Keep in mind that is just the standard. Im sure what cable co's can actually do will be less, but we might get 1 Gbps symmetrical service in the hopefully near future.

As far as the cap goes, thats suckish but Comcast charges more money if we go over 1 TB of data in a month. SO........

This is just my opinion. DSL is dead, its been dead for years. Thats why companies like Verizon and AT&T are investing in Fiber and Wireless.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
