no problems at all to use it short term. Longer term, talking 1yr or so could be an issue with potential growth build up, but short term no issue.

I built my first custom loop and while im waiting for my coolant to come i used deionised water is there any problems with that too use it for the coolant for the time being???

Water is fine.... but it will have algae growth over time.

Recommend a growth inhibitor additive, or a Silver Kill Coil in the resevior.

If it is true Deionized water, I highly recommend against using it. DI water will have a tenancy to consume minerals and metals over time. Using distilled water would be a much better choice.

Well I'm only using it till my stuff comes which should be in the next few days. So I should be ok then it's just for long term use I should stay clear.

Do what you want but your original question is if it is okay to use it. DI water is a solvent not a coolant. If it were me, I would drain the loop and fill it with distilled water.
