Try editing the following file:

steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg\video.txt

Should be these lines:

"setting.defaultres"		"1920""setting.defaultresheight"	"1080"

CS:GO keeps defaulting back to 1600x900 when I start it. It's really annoying to change it back to 1920x1080. Is there a way to permanently set it to 1920x1080?
