So I have a Noctua NH-D14 and I'm using the supplied fans on it. My motherboard is a MSI Z87 G45 Gaming. I used to have the fans on a low noise adapter, and that didn't work all that great, as the 120mm fan failed to spin up unless it was pushed. (!!!) So now I have them split and without the low noise adapter. Problem is, they're really loud. I'm wondering if there's a software way to make it so they get less voltage until the CPU reaches a certain temp or a certain usage amount, and then adjust the voltage. I'm loving the lower temps, but I really don't need them until the CPU really ramps up, and then having the 20 degree delta could really help! Any ideas?

EDIT: Ah! Important thing I forgot is that the fans are NON-PWM. Which is why I'm trying to find a software solution.

You can do this in the bios.

Click Bios 4

Perhaps it's just me not getting it, but it doesn't seem to allow you to actually edit it in the BIOS. Or at least the effects don't actually do anything. I'm downloading the "Command Center" software though, that seems like it might have some promise? We'll see!

Oh lol, that should work just as well. I didn't see that because the bios' fan control was first on the webpage :P

Goodluck, that is suppose to be a really nice and silent cooler. :)

Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to work. I dunno. I'm going to try to poke around the bios a bit more and see what happens. May even read the manual. xD
