So I currently have a 1060 6gb and ryzen 1700 at 3.9. The card is easily maxes out at 100% usage running certain games, now I'm fine with that when not running obs, but once your throw that little bit of rendering that obs requires into the mix you end up with choppy stream. I know the gpu usage is causing this because you will get a smooth stream if the usage dips below 95%ish. Now the question I have is can you run another graphics card in the system and dedicate it to a specific program or task? Say if I were to add something along the lines of a 1060 or 1050ti, could I dedicate this to OBS for the small amount of rendering it needs (Before it's said I'm not using Nvenc)? I'm not looking for any extra fps or performance in game, just to split the load between rendering the game and rendering the scenes in obs.

I've seen an article that was some intel chip with a 1050, and you dedicate a program to either the integrated graphics or the 1050, but I've yet to find anything with multiple GPU's and even mis-matched gpu's.

And again is has nothing to do with obs settings, because it works perfect when the gpu usage isn't maxed out.

IDK about driver support but if Nvidia Control Panel can see them you can tell it to give the GPU to specific programs. So you could give one to a game and one to another piece of software.
