Bildresultat för msi gaming pro carbon x370 image.jpeg.40203233d52c2d5075a14f0d6221bf52.jpeg this is my mb and gpu but there is a bad thing about this mb and that is that when u have a gpu installed on the first pci slot it covers the msi logo chipset heatspreader which is a thing that i want it to be visible so i wondered if i can have the gpu on pci slot 2?

I tried this yesterday but first attempt was scary for me because all i saw when i booted was a bunch colors and it wasn't my windows desktop so i quickly changed it to slot 1 and it worked normaly and then i had the guts to try again and right when i saw the windows desktop i closed everything but then i saw that it wasn't right res so i just thought i could just change it back but there was no nvidia controlpanel so i changed back to slot 1 but i wonder if there is anyway i could get this to work anyways. Sorry for long text

Well, you can, but each slot has a certain bandwidth limit. The first slot usually has the higher limit, which allows for better performance, while the second does not. Why it isn't working, idrk, but it isn't worth it to change it

you could use the 2nd slot, but it'll really hurt my feelings. It'll probably also hurt your eyes to look at. Please don't use the 2nd slot

OP could use the 3rd slot because looks are more important than performance /S

Performance first!!!! RGB second!!!

You could try both slots and see what the fps difference is. As for the Nvidia control panel not showing up, just reinstall the drivers. That will fix it. I would personally go for the 1st slot for better performance. But if there isn't much fps difference then go for the 2nd slot... Try them both and note the fps difference. Then decide.

Get a real board, like asus that shows the logo regardless of the cards.

Wont matter what slots its in if it supports it, I use my second card simply because it runs cooler.
