Afternoon Everyone,

I am looking for some advice on what could be causing my computer to have latency problems. Computer is a custom build from 2 years ago (I'll list the specs below),and whenever I'm connected to the wifi via any network adapter my computer will get internet but feels like it's dropping packets, where I have really good internet for a few seconds then a short period of no internet, thus causing packet loss. During regular browsing the issue isn't noticeable but load up any type of game and every few seconds the game will freeze, then start working again. Example being in CS:GO I am literally teleporting around the screen. I have made sure all my drivers are up to date and I have all the latest software installed for what I'm running but the issue is still present. Looking to see if anyone has any suggestions on what it could be, whether it's just a software issue or a hardware issue. I also have attached a picture of my cmd just running a generic ping test. Thanks for your time and have a good one!

Computer Specs:

CPU: Intel Core I7- 4790k

MB: MSI z97 G45 Gaming

Ram: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz 8GB (2x4GB)

          Ballistix Elite DDR3 1600 MHz 8GB (2x4GB)

GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

PSU: Rocketfish 900W

Case: Corsair Carbide 500R

WiFi Adapter: Asus 1900 USB-AC68

I used to have a Rosewill RNWD-N9003PCE internal wifi adapter installed into the computer but for some unknown reason my computer stopped picking it up one day so I just switched to my Asus wifi adapter. Trying to trouble shoot the problem I removed the Internal wifi adapter and that increased my performance significantly so I'm not sure what that indicates but I figure that might have something to do with it?

This could just come down to why Ethernet is preferred over a direct Ethernet cable connection. Wifi inherently is less reliable and packets can be lost. In terms of removing the internal wifi adapter helping out, its possible it was still spitting out 2.4ghz and interfering with your other adapter you were trying to use. Just your neighbors having a bunch of 2.4ghz routers across the street will mess with your own homes 2.4ghz router because of interference - I imagine having an antenna DIRECTLY next to another both spitting out signals might cause some issues.
