There is an overclocking database on the graphics card subforum. Due to manufacturing tolerances, you can't have "a setting" that just works for all 760s, or even all Asus 760s of that kind.

Hello. I thinking of overclocking my GTX 760. I've overclocked before on another card but I want to know what the best settings would be for an Asus GTX 760?

(this is the edition of the GTX I'm using: https://www.asus.com/us/Graphics-Cards/GTX760DC2OC2GD5/I would like it to be stable. I'm using the original fans, so it's not water cooled. Thanks :)

You've got to experiment, it's no good me saying "set that to this and this to that" because you may not be stable at those settings.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I have a problem... Msi afterburner and CPU-z say my GPUs memory clock is 3004MHz!!! that can't be right! no way can that be that high! (according to the manufacturer's website the default is 6008 MHz?? what!? can't be that high surly? and according to other sites, the default is ~1500, that seem about right) another the problem my GPU in the OC database has some rather odd numbers.... it says boost clock 1132MHz (that seem right) but it says memory clock 7008MHz!! what!? I'm not even going to try to put it that high!  but then the image attached to that has a different number: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/details/6e4nb but I can't even try that as my memory clock is defaulted at 3004mhz (pretty sure that's not correct) not sure what to do.

you should attach a screenshot of your MSI afterburner window

see what the numbers become when you stress the GPU

how do I stress it? do I just run valley benchmark or does MSI do it? or do I need something else?

You can just launch a game, valley would work too. Whichever's more convenient. Also, a second monitor would help so you could play and see afterburner at the same time

right ok. during furmark, the clock speed decreased gradually during the test from its default of 1062MHz to 1005MHz. the memory clock speed didn't move at all and the voltage went up from 1062MV to 1200MV and the temp rose from 45 to 70 degrees. during valley benchmark the clock speed didn't change nor the memory clock speed. the voltage did the same a furmark and the temp rose to 65 degrees.

just tried overclocking 10MHz and it works fine. just odd how my memory clock is so high? not sure if it's a faulty reading or what?

Ddr = double date rate, so maybe the online resource you found posted the "actual" clock rate, while 3000 is the double data rate.

yep just halved it and its EXACTLY what the image shows. thanks :D ill try overclocking it to that now!

I think memory clock will be fine, make sure to overclock in small increments but you'll likely see more improvements on that card with the core clock

Yeah I just put it up slowly all was fine. got to the number shown. still ok. went onto the game and it started glitching like crazy. reverted it to default. also, it was 70 degrees. the core clock auto boosts to 1152 so I won't change that

wait.... ugh i was stupid. i put it too 3752 in stead of doubling the 1752 and that makes 3504!!! i went way to high! lol!
