Improper boot device

Stoigeboiii

I used a third party software to clone my existing drive to an ssd and try to boot from the ssd. But I keep getting the "improper boot device" error.

Any tips for troubleshooting?

Best thing you could do would be to do a clean, fresh install of Windows on the SSD.  When that is done, connect the old drive and copy your data files such as pics and documents.  Cloning from an HDD to an SSD is not the best option.  SSD's really like a clean, fresh install.

Whats the best way to transfer old files, settings, and apps from the HDD. I know the computer works cause my SDD was cloned from my HDD and works on that computer. Recommendation would be cool

Or just use different cloning software.

Or boot Windows installation usb and just fix boot.
