Need help choosing between

 

Legion Y530 (15) with GTX 1060

Will be using it a for AAA gaming and Solidworks modeling, my budget is no more then $2500 AUD (Roughly $1800 USD)

They have the same CPU (i7 8750H) so get the one with a better graphics card, which is the omen.

Omen dc is slightly better in terms of build quality. Both are similar in cooling, battery life (Omen dc has optional 70Wh battery though), display (both have 144Hz IPS option) and weight. Have thin bezels, great keyboard and good enough touchpad. Y530 is less flashy and slightly smaller though.

 

TLDR both are good options

I dont like the look of the omen. But in saying that i plan to take this back and forwards from work and the thunderbolt port is appealing to me so i can dock it easier.

 

Just wasn't sure hoping someone could sway me.
