CSGO server location

Hello,

 

I have been playing csgo for awhile but stopped. My pc is having problems rn and I cant play some more demanding games at the moment so I thought I would go back to play some csgo. I have been lagging a lot though. I believe its becuase I am connected to the wrong server location thing. How would I connect to the server closer to me? The game is pretty much unplayable at the state it is in now. I already turned my max ping in the game down to 150 but I still manage to get games where I am fine at first but then it just picks up for the rest of the game.

Are you using your ISP's DNS? CS:GO should be picking up your US servers automatically. 

Are you certain you're connecting to other regions, and not just internet troubles?
