Ya my pc was literally just installed 2 weeks ago its brand new and I just have questions about my temps that why. So 60c max temp for cpu and gpu is fine?

btw cpu overclocked at 4.6 ghz @ 1.2v and gpu at stock. ( Don't wana over clock 1060 because only one gpu fan)

Fan speed is 60 percent should I increase or staying at it is fine since I am getting around 60c Max temp never over 65c for both cpu and gpu

Very nice temps, especially if you havent delid the cpu.

The safe temps for both your cpu and gpu are up to 84c, so you are well in the safe ranges.

Here is my setup: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/Famalams/saved/qYQRJx

Okay so my temp for cpu is usually around 65c max when gaming. ( i5 8600k overclocked to 4.6 ghz @ 1.2v)

My gpu temp is usually also arund 60-65c max when gaming ( no overclock and fan speed running at 60%)

My question is are these temps good and fine for long periods of gaming? because they usually stay around these temps for the most part. Also should I increase fan speed?

P.S I am upgrading to 1080 so will that help with gpu temp since the 1080 with have 2-3 fans on the gpu??

Thanks in advance!!

Hi there,

Idle temps for that processor should be around 30c.

Gaming temps around 60c are ok. (With a stock cooler).

But if you want to get the best out of your pc then consider the following:

-- Software.

Go through system processes, make sure they're all running as they should.

Consider disabling background processes.

Make sure the correct and up to date drivers / software is installed for your hardware.

-- Hardware.

Fans are cleaned of dust build up.

Fans are correctly positioned to direct air the right way in / out.

If CPU is old, consider repasting it. Or if you have already done that, check to see if the thermal compound is equally spread.

Same for GPU. It might help resource.

Clean out entire pc. Remove everything from the case and clean it appropriately.

Thanks,

Dragonfyr

There is a reason 1080 has lots of more fans... it produces much more heat.

But if the 1080 you get also stays at 60 (or under 80c) it is also very good.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

It seems you have lots of case fans, so you should be fine.

The gpu temp itself will probably be higher, because it is much more powerful, but it is rated for higher temps, so it will be fine too.

Is your cpu watercooler radiator mounted to the front or back/top?

If it is in the top then nothing changes with the gpu change, but if it is in the back or top then the cpu temp may rise by a few degrees, because the gpu produces more heat. But it should be fine too.

I cannot put the cpu cooler fan on top because no space. We have same case btw lol. I have it on the back and top is no fan. So front all three fans and front bottom also has a fan. So should I try and fit the front bottom fan on the the top of the case???

You have thermaltake v21 cube? I thought you had thermaltake view.

Anyways no need to worry, if it is in the back the gpu temp is lower, and the gpu produces more heat in your pc, so it is a good mix between gpu and cpu temps.

Oh shoot, nvm I do have the view LOL my bad. But ya it is in the back. But should I keep one of my fans in the front bottom of my case or should I try fitting it into the top of the case. I have the Thermaltake view 21???

Keep in front, So that they bring in fresh air for the gpu.
