Laptop auto locked temperatures

Hello, i just run with an issue right now and is really annoying, my temps are locked at 75 degrees when it was usually at 80-83 degrees on loads, and its dropping a lot the performance, i normally get between 90-120 fps on Fortnite, but with the temperature locked im getting around 50-80 fps with some heavy stuttering in gameplay, does anyone knows why that happen because is affecting my gameplay really hard

Last update was the nvidia drivers for RTX launch

Have you tried updating BIOS/firmware and clean install Windows?

 

Also try adding thermal pads on VRMs (Asus uses thermal paste for no reason) and do a repaste (Asus stock paste is like chewing gum)
