I've got a new 8086K + Strix Z370, my GPU is still on the way so I am using iGPU right now. Every time I connect a monitor with HDMI it shows normally. When I connect with DP the POST screen flashes and no more signal. I tried a DP to HDMI cable and it works when connecting the DP side to the MB and HDMI to the monitor and stuff shows up.  I thought the monitor DP port was broken and I returned it. Another one came and it still doesn't work. I tried two different monitors and three different DP cables now, only HDMI works. Whats the problem? HELP!

Sounds like a dead Displayport connector, but you were able to use a DP to HDMI adapter from the motherboard to the Monitor, so that rules that possibility out...

Try installing the Intel HD graphics drivers with the monitor plugged in via HDMI, then once they're installed, restart and try the Displayport connector.

Only thing I can think of.

Yeah, Installing the drivers solved it. I think it might be the iGPU being unable to keep up with the 2k 144hz refresh rate when connected with DP, and HDMI limits the refresh rate. Thanks!
