I was wondering if I could just water cool my cpu not my gpu because I am getting a custom build from XoticPC and it’s too expensive

Of course u can.

U can either :

1. Not watercool both

2. Watercool both

3. Watercool only the cpu

4. Watercool only the gpu

But why not just go with an AIO if custom loops are too expensive.

it's make better sense to WC the GPU than the CPU as intensive loads increase, the GPU performance is bettered being cooler than the CPU.

Was going to post the same, as there are some awesome, not too expensive CPU Coolers (compared to Water solutions) that cool the CPU pretty well - like a Noctua NH-D15.

While the GPU Cooler is usually rather loudish at higher load.

So a GPU with a Full Water Cover and a good CPU-Cooler like NH-D15 makes more sense than Stock GPU Hetsink with a CPU Water Cooler...

Speaking of video card GPU,  After I flashed my BIOS which I shouldn't have,  The video card jumps to 80c in 2 seconds as I play.  It doesnt go below or higher.  The fans are really really loud on vdeo cards yes.  But what I did was keep my gpu fans at 33 percent which is silent, unless you put your ear half a foot away.  Then I launched Quake Champions and remember the fans are at 33 percent,, but my temp once again goes straight to 80c and stays there.  So in a while without watercooling I have a silent video card,, I know the bios flash messed things up but ya,, Ill take 80c with 33 percent fan speed.  As I said at 100 percent speed it still goes to 80c and stops there, hehe weird... But ya if your wearing HP's don't bother water cooling the GPU, IMO ... ..
