Gtx 1060 6gb or rx 580 8gb for rendering ?

Go to solution Solved by DVA,

Ehh, Let's put it like this:

AMD = better rendering

Nvidia = better gaming

Really up to you and which one you prefer to do more or which one is more important to you. Though it's not like the 1060 will be horrible compared to the RX 580 in terms of rendering.

Which GPU should i get for Graphics design ?

I use Blender and Adobe premiere pro, .

I just want to know that which one can render fast

And which one is more future proofing for games

rx 580 8gb, as it is cheaper, has around the same performance, and is better in DX12.

It also has 8gb of VRAM so more future proofing.

I'm currently using i5 6400, I can't upgrade my CPU right now,I have to wait to another 2\3 years give or take

So which GPU is going to bottleneck more, I know it depends on game but RX 580 needs more CPU power? Or both are same?

I would go with the 580 they perform the same with the amd card you can also use freesync and don't have to overpay for g sync

OK then what about the bottleneck, will RX 580 bottleneck with i5 6400?
