Can you run your RAM at 1066MHz to begin with?

I'm not really sure what you're looking for.

yeah it works at 1066. just not 1333.

the ram is split equally across the numa nodes, 12gb for each cpu.

the only thing is that they are not installed in the 6 coloured slots of my motherboard (asus z8pe-d18) but in random slots. this is the same for each numa node. the reason for this is my gpu and one of my coolers are blocking some slots.

Well, maybe something in the chain of things doesn't support your RAM at 1333MHz.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

Probably your CPU/MB doesn't support it then. Can be a lot of things actually.

seems fine.. maybe it's just because of the ramdom slots...

maybe it's just because of the random slots..

if you look here: https://www.asus.com/nl/Commercial-Servers-Workstations/Z8PED18/overview/

and number the slots from left to right 1 to 9 for each cpu, for the top cpu the ram is in slots 7,8,9 and for the bottom cpu in slots 4,5,6...
