Hey everyone, I made a post yesterday where I posted my final build before completely buying all the parts for it. I am stuck with a dilemma however. I keep reading how the 1070ti is a waste because it's basically a base 1080.

Now I'm here with a 1070ti FTW2 I bought for $415.

Here are the other options I have since I can return the 1070ti to Amazon and purchase another one.

Something I want to say first is I want to future proof my build for at least the next 3-5 years.

With these GPU's. Am I fine for the next few years with an overclocked 1070 TI FTW2? Or should I perhaps throw the extra money at the build to ensure it lasts. I don't want to spend an extra $200-$250 now if the 1070ti will last long enough.

Uses for the PC - Gaming, streaming, video editing, Adobe suite (photoshop, indesign, illustrator), and casual use such as movies.

I've made a few topics regarding this because I am that unsure. I'll read the 1070ti is good because of the value, but then I read you should just spend more and get the 1080ti and I'm just so frustrated.

I need someone to just slap me in the face and give me an answer I can roll with.

Depends on you’re needs and wants. No card will “last” any time.

If you don’t mind turning settings down as the years pass it won’t be an issue.

Stop making new posts!!!  There's your slap in the face.

If you're not upgrading your monitor in that time frame, go 1070ti.  If you want to be a baller and Elite PC Master Race awesomeness, go ultrawide like a real man would.  Get a 1080Ti then.

Oh yeah, and stop making new fucking posts.  It's hard to track what has been talked about and advised already for you this way.

Did I mention consolidating all your build info is a good thing?

The monitor I will probably be getting is a 100hz/1-4 ms

I don't think an ultrawide screen is in my budget right now xD

Thanks for the doubleslap man!
