Hey there everyone! I've always been what I call a lazy pc gamer. Basically, the label "Gaming Computer" was enough to sell me. I didn't really know anything about the internals until I finally got my hopes dashed by yet another Ebay gaming rig. This led me to LTT on youtube, and then here subsequently. I've decided to step out of my comfort zone and finally build my own gaming pc after watching videos and reading parts reviews for the past few weeks.

The pc I'm on right now...hoo boy...

CPU(APU): AMD A8 7600

Motherboard: Biostar hi fi a70u3p
RAM: 8gb(2x4gb) 1600mhz DDR3

Storage: 1000gb 5900rpm seagate hdd

PSU: Logisys 480w

Case: DIYPC Solo-t1-r

When I first got this thing, man, it was underwhelming. And I ran into a lot of problems. Still do actually. Random freezes while gaming. The system rebooting midgame, while temperatures weren't really even going up that high. It wasn't overheating. It never gave me error messages or anything. And honestly, it's kind of outdated and I need something better anyway, right?

So that's where this build comes in. I decided on going with a Ryzen 5 2400g build. As the APU there with the ram I'll be getting will be enough to at least game in moderate comfort until I add in a dedicated GPU (I also plan to go with watercooling later on)

The new build-
CPU(APU): Ryzen 5 2400g

Motherboard: MSI B450 Tomahawk

Ram: 8gb (2x4gb) 3000mhz DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX

Storage: Western Blue 250gb SSD

PSU: EVGA 500 b1 80+ Bronze

Case: Corsair Carbide Spec-06 in Red and Black with tempered glass

Planning to later on add another 8gb kit for 16gb, possibly another SSD, or just nab a TB or two HDD. The GPU I'm aiming towards eventually popping in there is the GTX 1060 6gb, but honestly I'm not too sure on what I want for GPU.

Waiting for parts to arrive, and I'm a little nervous about it. But like I keep getting reminded, things only usually fit one way and it's all there in the manual if I get confused. Looking forward to building my first pc, thanks for reading!

Hope it serves you better!

Though, I wouldnt spend the money in watercooling those parts.

Cool, I was excited when I built my first PC from scratch too, there are some things you should watch for, just watch the LTT new builder tips videos though XD. The 1060 6gig sounds good for your system but if yuo wait more than 3 months the new cards will be out so you may go for a 1070 with price drops.
