Hi,

My wife won't stop complaining about how slow our current PC is and I need to "fix" it ;) (E8400, 4GB DDR2)

I only need a new CPU, motherboard and RAM.

The existing parts I will reuse are the following:

Corsair TX750

CM 690 II

Crucial MX200 250GB SSD

4TB WD Blue

Win 10 Pro 64bit

I'd like to use the onboard video on the Ryzen 2200g/2400G as there is no need for a dedicated video card and those perform quite well as is.

My budget is around $400 CAD

I don't think I need a full ATX motherboard, so I was thinking maybe mATX, just in case I get a smaller case in the future (the CM 690 II is overkill for what I need these days).

Any suggestions on what CPU, motherboard and RAM to get?

Thank-you!

I've never used MSI before, are they decent?

Which mATX is good?  Is Asrock ok?

Team Vulcan RAM, is that good stuff, like Corsair?

Had a  number of MSI inside my PC's over the years, all good. Vulcan Ram as well is totally fine.

MSI got alot better with the 400-series AM4 motherboards, they're fine.
