Turn on pc with remote control?

Like a normal TV remote? I did that using an Arduino, IR sensor, and a relay. You connect the relay to the pins for the power button on the motherboard and have the IR sensor on the case. When the IR sensor detects the power button on your remote (you can use any really, just have to change a number), it activates the relay.

 

 

or you could just buy one but that's no fun
