Wow, those Nvidia prices are painful. I'd definitely go for the Vega 56 there.

Hi everyone, I'm planning to build a PC and need help with the GPU. Wanted to go for a GTX 1070 Ti but I have a Viewsonic xg2401 monitor with freesync. The other two options are the rx 580 or a vega 56, to take advantage of freesync. 80% of the games are shooters and I would like to play in 1080p and reach 144 fps. About settings I do not need to play in ultra, I can play in medium graphics, there is no problem.

In my country, vega 56 is a bit more expensive than 1070 Ti.

Suggestions? Thank you.

The Vega 56 is a little bit slower than the 1070 Ti, but with Freesync it's still a better option I would say. The RX 580 might not quite give you the performance you want, although with Freesync any performance drops would be much less noticeable.

An RX580 with some dropped settings would get you high framerates. For now.

The risk here is that it might not age well as new titles come out, especially since they're going to want to develop them for NVidia's RTX.

Freesync is cheaper than GSync, so you may be better off spending on the RX580 now and waiting for the new round of AMD cards (whenever that might be) to upgrade later.

Already bought Vega56, now i'm thinking between 8400, 8600k and 8700 ... For the 8600k will have to think about a Z370 mobo, a good cooler and 2666+ Ram Mhz.

RAM speeds aren't a massive deal when it comes to Intel, at least compared to AMD. If you don't want to invest in Z370 and a better air cooler, go with the 8700.

I want to go for the i5 8600k and overclock it at some point, the problem is that I do not have the money for that processor, a mother Z370, an AIO cooler (which I really like is the Kraken x62) and a good PSU.

I have 2 options, go for an 8400/8700, B360 mobo and forget about overclock or go for the 8600k with Z370 mobo, CM Hyper H411r and later buy the Kraken x62 and better PSU.

The PC wil be 100% for gaming, and 90% are shooter games like i said.

Prices here where i live w/o shipping:
-8400: $200
-8600k: $285
-8700: $350
-ASUS B360-G ROG Strix: $110
-ASUS Z370-G ROG Strix: $160
-CM H411r: $30
-Kraken x62: $235

(Yes, going for a mATX build)

Feel free to suggest other options. Thanks!!
