System: Intel Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz 6-Core

Why does it have a stock intel cooler if it has an 8700k? (Since there's no specifications that specify which cooler is used, I have to assume that the product image shown for the item is accurate)
Not only is the stock intel cooler inadequate for an 8700k, but it isn't even included with an 8700k. Does this mean they have taken a stock cooler from another CPU, or bought them in bulk, and then paired it with the 8700k? Is there an i3 8100 out there somewhere with a Corsair H150i attached to it?

Also it's obvious that the motherboard pictured is not suitable for an 8700k. But then again, who needs VRM heatsinks when you have RGB? /s

I understand this isn't your list that you made, rather one that you found that someone else made, but there's no way I would put a Thermaltake Smart 600W in a system with an 8700k and GTX 1080 any system.

@Bas1k if you're looking to spend this sort of money on a PC, and looking for the performance of an 8700k and GTX 1080, I think you will be better off building it yourself. If you buy that pre-built system you will need to replace the CPU cooler as soon as you get it, and the motherboard and PSU are most likely trash as well that will need replacing. So budget in an extra $250 or so on top of the list price for a new motherboard, new PSU, and new cooler for an 8700k.

Appears more expensive at first, but is much better quality components, and when you factor in the things you should swap out from the pre-built one it actually ends up cheaper - and you get a better build. If you buy one of those $10 windows keys you will save a fair bit as well.

If you're going for 1080p144hz/1440p60hz gaming then you could drop to a 1060 6GB. Prices of GTX1070s aren't that great considering they're $100 more than a 1060 6GB, and only $30-$40 cheaper than the starting prices of 1070tis (which come pretty close to GTX 1080s).

You can alter lists with PCPartPicker by clicking the link at the top of the list, and then in the top right hand side of the PCPP list select "Edit this part list". You can remove the 1060 6GB and search for some 1070s if you want to check out how they are priced.
It's worth noting that the Ryzen 7 2700 comes with a stock cooler, unlike the Intel 8700k. I added a tower cooler anyway, but if you're not planning on overclocking at all and are happy with maybe a bit of extra noise from the stock cooler then you can remove it and just use the stock AMD cooler.

There are websites such as Kinguin and a few others which sell grey market Windows 10 keys for much cheaper than retail. Having a look prices there seem to start at $25 USD for Win10 Home.

For an 8600k you will want a Z370 motherboard. Everything else on the list is compatible with either system, including the cooler and memory. Price wise there's not a huge difference between the two. The 8600k will maybe give slightly better performance in games if you're trying to hit high FPS/refresh rates, but the Ryzen 2700 will be much better at multitasking (ie. gaming + Twitch streaming simultaneously) and programs that can take advantage of the 8c/16t that the 2700 has.

If you're intending to buy, I'd recommend exploring what cases and peripherals (mice & keyboard) you want. The ones I selected are just general suggestions with reasonable pricing to give you an idea of the total system cost, and you may find a new case or something that you like the look of more since it's an aesthetics choice.

Alsoconsider the graphics card of Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB vs the AMD RX 580 8GB. Both similarly priced and both perform relatively similar in games.
