I wouldn't really recommend either. I'd do the 212x if you had to pick between them, and just deal with the noise. The TX3i won't have enough oomph to cool down the 7700k. I had issues keeping a 7700k cool with a 212 EVO as well, and the 212x is largely the same.

Why between these two? Cost? Space?

cryorig c7. looks good, quiet, low profile.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

It doesn’t have to be those two Just something that has a good price to performance. Would you recommend the cooler master masterair instead or do you you have a specific cooler that is good. I don’t know much about cpu coolers

A Scythe FUMA

A Cryorig H5 ultimate

A Cryorig H7

A Be Quiet! Shadow Rock 2

There are a bunch of good options. I recommend something that has greater than a 150w TDP for cooling.

I would need to know constraints you have...what case do you have? What RAM?

Neither. Some better options include the Freezer 33 eSports ONE from ARCTIC, the CRYORIG H7, the NH-U12S from Noctua, the H5 Ultimate from CRYORIG, the Dark Rock 3 or 4 from BeQuiet, etc. etc.

Do not get a Cooler Master Hyper cooler, they're garbage.

Opt for a cooler such as the Arctic Freezer 33 eSports One which is no more than £40 and will perform leaps better than both of the mediocre coolers you have listed, in addition will also look better to boot.

The 212x would just be enough for cooling at stock. The TX3i should be enough with some undervolting. What ram and case are you using?

I personally wouldn't even think anything less than 140mm single tower. Fuma and H5 mentioned earlier, also Dark Rock series, U12S might do, H7 Quad Lumi...
