UPS with PSU

Go to solution Solved by Tibon,

You are wrong, they are completely different device for different purposes.

A PSU is mandatory in any built, an UPS is optional although recommended.

A psu is used to power the whole system, an ups is used as a backup in case of power outage to give enough time for the user to shutdown the system normally to avoid damage to other components or data loss.

If i would roughly describe these two then, a PSU is a AC to DC converter, while UPS is DC to AC.

this is not entirely correct but maybe easier to see the difference.

you'll still need a PSU, they're completely different.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W
