ASUS VG248QE Issue

So I left my monitor for a little bit to come back to the orange standby light on (as usual) but when I moved the mouse to wake the screen up nothing happened. This issue has happened before and I fixed it by unplugging and replugging the cables back in but this time it did not work. The monitor won't turn off or on, the weird thing is though that even when the monitor is unplugged the orange standby light still stays on. Please help as I'm I can't afford a new monitor at the moment, thanks guys!xD
