I have a Riverbed Steelhead CX 5055 Cache server. I want to find out if I can use the server as a quick access storage point on the network for any of my computers to connect to to access the files. I am not familiar with how to use this server as I was not the one who configured it and it is not on the network that it was setup on.

A cache server is ment to store information so it can be accessed once again by other users on the local network. I don't understand how freenas is going to help with this. FreeNAS is simply a storage system.

Perhaps the riverbed system don't need a monitor output. Try finding a reset button and it'll probably get an IP from the DHCP server.
