PC specs:

MSI H81M-E34 motherboard

Intel i7-4790 @ 3.6GHz

Zotac GTX 1070 ti AMP! edition

HyperX Fury 8 GB ram (2x4 GB)

Cooler Master Masterwatt Lite 230V 500W

Today I received the GTX 1070 ti and the Masterwatt Lite 500 W, I bought the psu cuz it was the recommend amount and my friend said it was a great psu for its price. As soon as we plug everything in, except the graphics card, we turn on the PC to see if it would boot. We press the power button, LEDs turn on, fans start spinning and the monitor displays the motherboard info, we get happy to see that we didn't screw up anything but right before we high five, the PC turns off, monitor goes dark. After a second passes, the computer turns back on but this time doesn't get to display anything and it turns off again and starts doing it faster and faster, until we turn it off manually. I've tried repluging everything and clearing CMOS, but nothing is working, it only boots with the old psu.

sounds like the PSU is faulty and causing over current protections to kick in. You will need to RMA it unfortunately.
