Hey guys!

So I've just bought a new HDD to replace my old one, problem is, when I disconnect the old one and connect my new one, it tells me to select a driver with a system to boot.

The weird thing I dont understand here, is that I'm 100% sure that windows is installed on my other SSD drive and not the one im replacing, but when i connect my old HDD drive again, my system is willing to boot into windows.

Is there a way to fix this without needing to reinstall all things again?

your running on a legacy mode, reinstall windows with gpt partition and set the bios to EFI.

go to bios when boot (press f9).

look for UEFI bios mode and enabled it.

plug the new drive and see if it boots.
