Hi guys, I was wondering which CPU is better for gaming, G3220 or A6-3670K?
I know that the A6 is a pure quad core, but it's single thread performance is much weaker.
BTW I have 2 PC's that one have the A6 APU and the other have the G3220. I want to add a GTX 1050 TI that I owe to one of them. which one should I pick?
Thanks

Both gpu's will bottleneck even the 1050Ti. Seriously.

But since it's a 2 core vs 4 core in a modern environment, the A6 wins.

Because a lot of softwares and games can support 4 core now unlike back then.

they're both terrible to pair with a GTX 1050 Ti...

the G3220 does has a much better singlecore performance but the problem is it's only 2 cores.

i can't believe i'm saying this, but the A6-3670 is better if you overclock it...

I have the cooler of an FX-8350 for him. it's a 100W TDP APU, but I'm not sure what is the TDP of the cooler (already checked on google to find no answer)

A sizable portion of that TDP is for the GPU, so he should be able to get some noticeable speed increase from overclocking
