Can anyone help me with the microphone, I'm new to streaming and I haven't started yet. I'm converting from console to PC and I have been doing some research about microphones. Money isn't a problem and I know the differences now between a condenser and dynamic microphone and also know that dynamic microphone is way good for streaming. Like the SM7B Shroud uses and I can spend 727$(SM7B - $400, Focusrite 2i2 (2nd Gen) - 133$ and DBX 286s - 199$) on the all setup but I have asked some streamers and they are saying that it's too overkill and I should go with a good microphone like the AT2020 USB+/Rode NT USB for streaming. I don't think so background will be a problem for me because my room for streaming is pretty small. Is it worth just spending 727$ on all the setup? I'm confused and the only thing my heart wants is the best microphone for best money. I know money isn't a problem and by best money I mean good quality.

-My room is small

-There isn't too much background noises.

-My room is like 12x8 (I think that's small and there won't be echo)

I hope you guys can help me.

Do you have any problems with the background noise? Plus I'll be getting the Rode PSA1 Arm Boom and Shockmount and pop filter If I'm going for AT2020 USB+

As far as background noise goes, after a little bit of tweaking I can go ham on my Cherry MX blue keyboard and no one I'm talking with on Discord can hear it. Oh, and did I mention the mic is only about 15-20cm away from the keyboard?

Please mention or quote me if you want a response. :)

So, what do you suggest?

I would like you to get some more input from other people on different mics. This way you can get a clear picture of what is for you. What I wrote above is just MY thoughts. If you want to buy the AT2020 then a boom arm and a pop filter is a must. If your table where you mount it is kind of hollow I would also suggest buying a shock mount.

I also hear the Blue Yeti and Blue Snowball is also good :) And not that expensive.

Money isn't the problem, I just want the best money:audio quality. You know, the blue yeti is just a bit too much sensitive as compared to other microphones.

Blue yeti an be quite fragile, my school had one and it only lasted from August to just before Christmas.

What are these for?

I own a snowball. Decent mic, easy to use, but picks up everything audio wise. Some tweaking and talking louder than normal might negate desk sounds though.
