Hello,

I need help with my IPhone SE. I went up to the mountains this weekend and my IPhone was working fine until it the battery died. I was able to plug it in and get the display to show the red battery. However when I woke up a little bit later that battery no longer showed and the screen was black even after hitting power and home. This has been the case for the past two days now. I've tried the hold the home button and power or down volume and power but to no avail and it has been charging for more than 10+ hours. Problem is even my external battery and computer doesn't recognize it as being something plugged in. I have an upgrade on the way but I need to check to make sure all of my stuff has been backed up. Does anyone have any tips to fix this or at least get it to come on for a few hours?

In Summary, dead Iphone se not charging and is a lot colder than normally would be.

Thanks.

I am not sure on how IPhones are designed although I believe that in order to start the phone after a shutdown you have to hold the power button from 5-30 seconds in order to get the device to boot. If it is not booting then there could be a potential issue with the battery on damage to the electronics of the phone which are not user serviceable according to Apple and their terms. If there is important data on the device then send it to a data recovery center such as Drive-Savers immediately so that the recovery rate will be better. Take it to an Apple store or authorized repair center to get them to check and diagnose the issue as it is going to be easier taking the hands on approach then calling them or digitally contacting them to get the issue troubleshooted. On older IPhones, I remember that some two buttons had to be pressed although I am not able to confirm that they are the power and home buttons as I am not an Apple user anymore.

Hope that this information helps to resolve your issue,   @Boomwebsearch
