This is not the final product, however I am set on the CPU Mobo combo. These prices are in USD, parts list is at the bottom of the post.

The goal here is to build a PC that can game and double as a "workstation" mainly editing game highlights and photos. As far as gaming is concerned I want to play at 2560 x 1440 the games I play are World of Warcraft, Leauge of Legends, various FPS, GTA V, and Farcry 5. For editing software I primarily use Adobe products.

Budget isn't really a concern because another big part of this build is the appearance I want something that is going to draw attention because my computer station is in the living room so I kind of want it to be an art piece more or less if that makes sense. I'm also willing to pay for quality parts over shady or under powered equipment.

My previous PC was a AMD FX-6300 unfortunately it has died so I decided it was time to move on to the new platform.

I want some suggestions on better cases I really like the Fractal Meshify C but I feel like the Lian Li 011 Dynamic would also be a good choice as far as features and looks go.

Monitor suggestions would be a BIG help too I haven't had to shop for a new monitor in a long time I've had the same 1600 x 900 Acer for almost 7 years.

I've built a few computers but I'm sure there are things that have been forgotten or overlooked.

I'm not in a hurry to build this because I want to do a little more research over the next few weeks I might even consider waiting until the holidays to pick up some good deals.

Thanks ahead of time for your help and suggestions!

Why not spring for an m.2 instead of sata SSD and both clean up cable runs as well as have that sexy drive front and center?

Also, the Lian Li PC-011 dynamic might be a better choice, if you wanna be large and in charge.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Not a bad idea I haven't used much modern hardware so the M.2 slipped my mind completely.

The 860 Evo comes in the m.2 m+b key flavor, having similar performance to the sata but just being more convenient, while a 960 or 970 would yield some better drive performance.

The performance increase would be nice to have can't complain about having fast drives
