Thoughts on this build, Mainly gaming and some annual video editing haha. Aiming for that 140+ fps in Black Desert /PUBG/some AAA games. Doesn't need to be all ULTRA (i7 option doesn't have AIO because budget doesn't permits it so I might save 1-2months for that AIOs). I have asked about the i5 upgrade path a few days ago but since i had the free time i tried building one with an i7 cpu.
OPTION 1:

i5 8400
16gb (DUAL) DDR4 2666 Tforce Delta RGB CL15
256gb Adata SU800 SSD
Gigabyte B360 Aorus Gaming 3
Asus Cerberus GTX1070Ti 8GB

OR

OPTION 2:

Intel Core i7 8700K
8gb (DUAL) DDR4 3200 G.Skill Trident Z
Gigabyte Aorus Z370 Ultra Gaming 2.0
Asus Cerberus GTX1070Ti 8GB

why not a r5 2600 with B450 tomahawk from MSI? its cheaper and you can probably pick up an 1080 instead. also AIO is not worth it if you can overclock

I thought of the r5 2XXX but i've read that the ryzen " isn’t as good when it comes to high fps gaming, its more a streaming editing chip with good gaming results. " 1080s are 100 USD more than 1070ti here. If the new cpu get's released I'd probably hover around the i5 of that gen unless the i7-9XXX would be the same price of i7-8XXX
