i7 6700

Hi i have a 1060 3gb and a i3 6100 right now, i mostly use my setup for gaming, i get a bit of stuttering and crashing when gaming should i upgrade my cpu to a i7 6700?

an i7 seems unecessairy to me, but I don't think the i3 should cause crashes. I may be wrong though. upgrading to a decent 6th or 7th gen i5 should be enough

Be sure that your CPU is the cause of the problems you encounter. I'd rather buy an i5 6400/6500 or a I7 6700 2nd hand for no more than 200$

8gb ddr4 2133mhz im pretty sure

crashing isnt caused by a cpu that cant keep up, sounds like you have something more serious going on there...
