Back about 2 months ago my computer just stopped dead in its tracks while I was playing overwatch. I thought it was the PSU because it was making an odd clicking noise, so I RMAed it. It wasn't that, so I RMAed the mobo. Now the motherboard is here, it is still having this issue.

What happens:

While everything is in there I hit power and it makes four clicks from the PSU and then stutters the fans and stops. remove the graphics card and it does the same thing with a slightly longer fan stutter. EVERYTHING besides the back case fan and the CPU cooler out it stays on for about 13-20 seconds, and then resets. If I unplug all the HDDs and GPU it starts strobing and shutting on and off and on and off really fast. I did all the math and the absolute max my pc takes is 350 watts, and I have a 650 watt PSU.

I really have no idea what to do next. We have taken out the CMOS battery, removed everything. Send the PSU and motherboard back. I even got new RAM just in case that was the issue, it wasnt. Im at a loss. I have no idea what to do next. It might be the CPU?? That's my only idea, it wont even post :/.

Any and all help would be super appreciated. I can send videos and pictures as needed, but the file limit is 20 for this post. Thank you in advance.

Full specs?

Just to make sure, you have motherboard standoffs installed, correct?

One thing you could try, turn the PSU off, then hold the power button for like 30 seconds. Then go turn the PSU on again and try (this is to drain the caps in case something weird is happening with the PSU).

You could try unplugging everything you don't need (unplug all storage drives, fans, and GPU; maybe get rid of all but one stick of RAM too) and see if it boots then. If that still doesn't work, you could remove the mobo from the case and see if it works outside the case.

I feel like it's possible something is shorting out due to whatever reason. As a side note, for the cables you're using with the PSU, are they the cables that came with the G3?
