I would go with the higher storage the Samsung 860 EVO is a beast of it's own so that's an easy pick plus they have their Samsung tool for SSD that let's you pull your files out of the SSD when it's going to die.

Ye they are all 1tb, i was thinking about the m.2 drive as its good and ive heard crucial is a good SSD is well

I'd buy the MX500 2.5". It's a little bit slower (but not noticeable in day to day usage) than the Samsung, and a little bit cheaper.

The M.2 version only saves you space and cables connecting the SSD. They are the same speed.

Ye i guess the cable saving parts is good :) I might just get it , or might just get the 860 evo , no problem just sticking it in the back of the case  , Whatever is cheaper i guess

Actually people preffer M.2 as it's a faster than the SATA SDD. SATA lanes are just bottlenecking SSD's, of course it's hardly noticable in day to day use

M.2 is just the name of the slot, M.2 [insert_some_number_like_2280] refers to the form factor, equivalent of 2.5" and 3.5". As long as they are SATA SSDs, they are the same speed regardless of the connector they use

I know you're talking about NVMe SSD, but neither the MX500 nor 860 Evo are NVMe drives. They are SATA drives available in both 2.5" and M.2 form factor.

Ye this is 100% true , so im just going to go for the cheapest makes no diff, hopefully the m.2 one is the cheapest thus i dont have to deal with any fing cables :)
