so my friend has a small issue, every time he restarts the pc it ask for a bootable hard drive, we try swapping sata ports, configuring the BIOS and is AHCI mode, formating the secondary HDD, we tried disconnecting the secondary HDD and the DVD but nothing. So i know i´m missing something here but what? what i haven´t done,  what is missconfigured.

Is the ssd selected as the primary boot device in the bios?

This is a bios issue. 

 

Make sure there are no sd cards, flash drives or external hard drives plugged in at boot. I had an old Acer laptop that used to do this as well as an old HP workstation.

Repair the boot manager then set the OS partition as active.
