Next Gen CPU's

What time of year do new cpu's launch? I'm thinking intel 9xxx and AMD Ryzen 2

 

I'm throwing around the idea of a new machine but would like to wait for the new AMD chips to launch.  I was waiting for the new nvidia gpu's to launch and now that they are here I can wait for hands on result's.  Depending on when next gen ryzen launches I might start buying parts one at a time for a new machine.

Intel 9th series: ES chips are already available for purchase in more dodgy places for a week or two now, expect launch within this year. I myself expect in October.

 

Ryzen 2000 series has already been launched. I know the 2500x and 2300x arent available yet, but who cares about those.

I was under the assumption that AMD 2xxx is reffered to as zen+ rather than zen 2.  I guess that answers my own question though as zen+ hasn't even fully launched.  Still I'd go for zen+ over intel 9xxx as intel has screwed me multiple times over the past 4 years, each instance of which would have been smooth sailing with AMD if it were competent at the time.  So I guess I'll go find me an AMD cpu when the time comes.
