Hi everyone,

I have the Ornata Chroma keyboard and it´s light effects are awesome.

I use the latest version of Razer Synapse on Windows 10.

I want to know if any of you know how to assign a hot key or something to switch between effect profiles I have created.

For example, I want my cool ripple effect for typing, but for gaming I stick to the standar spectrum cycle. Finally, when I go to sleep I leave it on Fire.

My intention is to quickly switch between these without having to open Synapse every time and manually doing so.

EDIT: I now realize that when I completely close Synapse from the system tray, the default spectrum cycle kicks in. Is there a way to keep the effects running when Synapse is turned off? Or is a built in memory module on the keyboard required?

Thanks for the help.

Well you could use the Synapse software to assign lighting profiles to hotkeys, that's what I do. It is literally a function to program when you select keyboard on top. This also gives you the posibility to associate profiles to programs. It's really easy!

Edit: Without Synapse the keyboard reverts to the last profile in it's memory. If that memory is present.

That would be helpful; I´m currently having a hard time understanding this software. Can you write some steps or lite tutorial please? Just to assign a hotkey to a lighting profile.

Thanks!

Open Synapse. On the top bar select keyboard. Select customize one bar below keyboard. Select a key you don't use and press it on the virtual keyboard on-screen. On the left side a list to reassign that key to different things appears. Select switch lighting profile and select the profile you wish to assign to this key. Repeat this proces on other keys with different profiles. For example you can use numpad numbers. Just don't forget that key loses it's functionality other then switching lighting profiles.

Also much like lighting profiles you can make multiple customize profiles and assign them to keys to. They are separate from the lighting and define the keys on the keyboard.

Lastly associating a game or program to a lighting or customize program can be achieved in their respective menus. Hope this helps.

Excelent, I managed to bind already my keys and works perfectly. Thanks for your instructions!

The only thing that can´t be done yet is getting this hotkeys to work with Synapse closed. But I guess it just doesn´t work that way.
