Hey guys! So I've got a server set up (unRAID) with Nexcloud running on it among other things. I've hit a wall on how to organise all my backups. What I have atm is just windows backup backing up to external HDDs. This works fine as I'm at home and I can just easily duplicate these backups onto a seperate HDD, but I'm moving back to Uni in a couple weeks so I've been setting up this server as a way to get around that.

I'd like to have a backup on each of our HDDs (Sorted), then a copy of those backups on the server, a copy of those back ups on an external HDD that's plugged into the server once a week, and then a copy of my Mum's backup on my HDD.

I'd also like to use the Nextcloud client sync for my Mum, and set up my own smaller NexcloudPi and use that for incremental on my computer, although I might change this to just use a backup program and mount the shares as drives so as to limit the amount of personal information going over the internet. Unless there's a way to get the Nextcloud sync to only sync over LAN?

What I don't know how to achieve: Getting a backup of the Nextcloud Share, and a copy of my Mum's backup to my own HDD over the internet; and then a backup of my computer and cloud onto my home server

I have a couple ideas. Syncthing, Duplicati and Nextcloud Federation folders. I've just no idea how to do it and all my googling is just confusing me.

You should post on limetech's forum they are a helpful bunch you'll get the answer your looking for over there
