While I'm doing stuff, (mainly gaming), I experience frame stutters. At first I thought it was my ram or maybe my case fans were running too fast but a bios reset showed that it was neither. I am not over clocked in anyway shape or form. Everything is stock. These stutters came about after a thermal paste change to try and ease the temperatures and after I installed the GIGABYTE apcenter which came with EasyTuneService which I did not use and have uninstalled completely. I experienced no issues while I was running hot prior to the thermal paste change either.

What cooler are you running?

Stock cooler or a beefy aftermarket solution?

Do you have enough fans in the case blowing air in & out; 1 intake 1 exhaust is what I'd recommend for a healthy system.

It sounds like thermal throttling to me.

That thermal paste application could also be bad, did you add enough? I generally recommend having a little more instead of a little less, have dealt with that in the past myself.

When the PC is acting up haunted,

who ya gonna call?
"Monotone voice" : A local computer store.
