Bitlocker - Lock my pc?

Hello, I've used Bit locker as a security measure, and removed my password. so the only way for me to log in to my PC is using my USB-stick. my question is can i enable bit locker somehow and lock it while the PC is running (like u normally lock it with shift + L, then go out to do something and come back)?

Bitlocker is only showed up when you first turn it on. WHen its sleeping or locker the drive is decrypted and the key is in ram.

 

You can still lock the pc with your normal password.

Okay, i was just looking for a way not to use a password, and bitlocker was my way,

You can use a fingerprint or a smartcard to login.

This require outside accessories, i will read up on Smart card though. Thank you for the help.

I dont know if you can use it for windows login though.

 

the one you sent does support windows login, but i just think the fingerprint scanner is so much easier and more elegant, and probably more secure because anyone can steal your USB key and unlock your PC.

just keep it plugged in and youre good to go, you can also get a USB extender and have the fingerprint scanner near you all the time
