VirtualBox VMs Across OSes?

Hello! I just dualbooted my laptop a couple days ago. I have many VMs and want to be able to access them from both my Ubuntu and Windows partition. (I started with Windows.) Thank you!

Is it virtualbox? then yes! therotically ive never dual booted. (can you see the windows drive while in Ubuntu, and vise versa?)

I think if you import a vdk/vmdk or even an export a ova file it will work crossplatform I think.

I do have a directory with my hard disk. Would importing an OVA take up all the storage and stuff?

not sure. Maybe just recreating the vm, but using the same virtual disk/vdk file

I was just throwing out ova if you couldnt see it. Dont if you are considering space
