Hi there, I wanted to ask for some tips with choosing fans for my next build. I'll be working in a Corsair 780T case running 2x 360mm radiators on the front and the top of the case. Considering there's a lot of room in the case I decided to go for a 60mm radiator on the top with a pull configuration. The problem I ran into is that I also wanted to use the Corsair LL120RGB fans, however after a closer look I noticed that they are useless for RGB when in a pull configuration, because the LED ring is only visible from the front and not the back.
Check the spoiler for the images

So these fans were a no go for my build. I need something that has good RGB lighting on both the front and the back of the fan, and also good static pressure. Some of you might remember that Corsair showed of a concept case back at Computex 2017 called the Corsair Curve.

It's actually a modified 780T, but the point is, they used some sort of fans in there which I wasn't able to track and I was hoping you guys could help me find them. The fans they used in that case look like they had RGB lighting on both the front and the back of the fan which is exactly what I'm looking for.
Here's another picture from the top of the case, this is pretty much exactly how I want to make my fans look.

I want to have 3 fans at the front in a push config, and a 360mm radiator behind them, and a 360mm radiator at the top with 3 fans in a pull config, but if I use the LL120 fans, it'll be a waste of money since you won't even be able to see the RGB on the fans. I'd appreciate all the help with finding the fans which were used in the Corsair Curve or helping me find another alternative.
Thanks

I'm also currently running a pull configuration in my current rig and there's no difference in the temps, and like it's said in the videos, dust management is a lot easier. Thanks anyway though.
It does look like the fans in the pics are push but that would be completely idiotic on Corsair's part to show off a PC worth $20,000+ with all of the fans set up to blow air inside of the case and none exhausting it.
I'm holding out hope that some sort of high static pressure, RGB fans that look good in a pull configuration actually exist though. I'll have to do some more digging.

Have you looked into Phanteks RGB Halos? Great choice for uncompromising performance.

Best & worst cases for your money in 2018 are:

Best Cases overall

I) Fractal Design Meshify C - Airflow and relatively quiet, best all around case

I) Phanteks Enthoo Pro M / Special Edition (white interior) - Airflow & full water cooling support

I) Fractal Define R6 - Silent with decent airflow

I) Be Quiet! DB 900 (Full Tower) - Airflow and silent

I) Fractal Design Meshify C mini (mATX)

I) Corsair 400C - Only use with low end components, no 1080 / TI

I) Phanteks 350X - Only use with low end components, no 1080 / TI

I) Fractal Design Focus G

Cases that may be worth your money

I) Thermaltake G21 - GPU and CPU cooling issues, modest tweaking
I) Silverstone RL06 / Pro - Mustard/Ketchup wires, Shitty cable management, Poor front radiator support, useless psu filter, stupid ssd layout
I) In Win 303

I) Coolermaster H500 no suffix - if 200mm fans are your thing

I) NZXT H700 non "i" version - Needs to come down in price to be worth it

I) Corsair Carbide 100R - Suitable for low end builds

The worst cases - Do Not Buy

I) NZXT S340/Elite, H500, H440 (everything except the H700) Reason: Poor airflow
I) Coolermaster Masterbox 5

Majority of cases on the market

I haven't, they look pretty decent though. However I would prefer the RGB to be on the fan. If nothing else pops up I might actually give these a go though, since I have a bunch of SP120 fans which are still in good shape so I could just reuse them with these halos. Thanks!

  • 2 weeks later...

I don't wanna revive this old topic, but I thought I'd post what I found in case anybody in the future has the same question. I think I found the fans I'm gonna use in the build, it's the "Riing Trio 12 LED RGB Radiator Fan TT Premium Edition" . It's got everything I'm looking for, High static pressure, PWM, and RGB which is visible on both push and pull configs.
