Hello there! I have a GTX 660 at the moment, which is starting to get a bit underperforming. I need to upgrade it soon, so I can run DOOM 2016 at 1080p. I also need to get a 1080p monitor but at the moment my monitor is sufficient. I would love a GPU that can run games on Low 1080P with 75 FPS (current monitor runs at 75hz refresh rate, 60 FPS and below gets extremely choppy). Titles like DOOM that is. Any recommended GPUs that will get me a locked 75 FPS at 1080P Low?

edit: need to add a budget sorry!

I’m a broke teenager, so I can only spend 80 USD at absolute most. Yeah. I know it’s not much.

I’ve heard great things about the GTX 770 but it’s hard to find them for a good price, I look on eBay mostly.

Who needs fancy graphics and high resolutions when you can get a 60 FPS frame rate on iGPUs?

There's no much to upgrade to, just keep saving money, until you can at least get an RX 560 1024 core

or maybe you'll find a cheap HD 7950/70 which is about equal to the RX 560

Doom with Vulkan really likes Radeon in general. Applies to all the games on that engine most likely

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I might opt for a AMD card due to having better performance for many of the games I play, along with the ease to get a FreeSync monitor compared to G-Sync.

My monitor may be the main problem too, it’s a 5:4 1280 x 1024 TN Panel with a 75 Hz Refresh Rate. And it looks awful getting anything under 60 FPS. 55 makes it stutter horribly with or without V-Sync on.

It’s a Core i5 2400, probably should upgrade that too.

Thinking of it I basically need a better all around rig minus the RAM.
