Which GPU do I choose?

jbigger

I am ordering new parts for a pc and the original gpu I was going to go for was a Asus Strix 1070ti for 548 USD, I recently found the exact card but a 1080 for 524 USD, why would this be? and is the 1080 really a better card?

1080 is best atm especially for the money. you want more performance, go 1080 ti for 700-1000

Look at the benchmarks and decide for yourself :D

(you should probably look up other sources as well)

I have looked at many benchmarks but have also heard the 1070ti is able to surpass the 108 by overclocking, so was curious if its worth that extra $20 for that reason

I've heard that too, but you can overclock the 1080 as well ._. If you can get it with a good cooler and have decent thermals a 1080 will do way better. Especially if it is cheaper. (I think the 1070ti is supposed to be like 100USD cheaper than the 1080 or something like that)

okay, thank you for your input, I'll do a little more research but in the end probably will end up with the 1080 :D

So what do you think happens when you oc the 1080? Surpass the overclocked 1070ti....
