So I've been wanting to upgrade to an SSD for a while but I want to spend as little as possible, I was going to go for this but then I thought that maybe I should get an M.2 SSD, the problem is that I have no slot for one on my motherboard. Worse still, I can't use an adapter because I have no PCI-e 4x (and no more 16x) slots on my board, only PCI-e 1x. I did find one adapter that converts NVMe to PCI-e 1x but it didn't support the drive I wanted. What would you recommend?

What is actually supposed to go here? Some people put their specs, others put random comments or remarks about themselves or others, and there are a few who put cryptic statements.

Just get a sata drive. You won't notice a difference.

SATA.  The speed difference isn't apparent in day to day use.  You will notice a giant difference from you HDD though.
