Programs like skype chrome are constantly crashing with random messages regarding not sufficient RAM.
How could I debug this issue further?

Could this possibly be related to power issues?

There is a high chance that this machine is not drawing enough power from the wall

Thank you!

That's a very strange error message to get when you have 64GB of RAM. :D

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the programs and see if that fixes it.
Bad memory module perhaps? Though typically I would expect you would just be seeing BSODs instead of error reports in programs. Wouldn't hurt to rule it out though, so if you want try running Memtest86 to see if it reports any errors.

2x e2670s + 64GB of RAM is certainly an impressive beast. What's it used for?

It's unlikely to be the cause, but since you mention it may be an issue, what power supply are you using in the machine?

Will have to try pulling them out(I haven't done that yet because to do that I have to remove those giant cpu coolers)

I have always used it as my main computer, since I don't do gaming,  but constantly running some automation software that has to open a lot of browser windows.

I think it's important to note that these issues started to appear once I moved the system to my basement, with bad ventilation(much hotter),  and there's certainly not enough power for everything.

I tried plugging in a 220v fan to the outlet, and it won't even spin.

Is there any way to check how much power is PC currently using without additional hardware?

P.s my PSU is corsair rm 850i

Your PSU actually has software that allows you to monitor the power usage of the unit. Download 'Corsair Link' software and install that and you should be able to get a reading of what your PSU is drawing from the wall. https://www.corsair.com/ww/en/downloads
An actual wattage reader, such as a Kill A Watt, would be more accurate, however that is a separate device (additional hardware).

Is there any overclock applied to the CPU or RAM? Could be instability issues.
If you are having memory related issues then I'd still recommend running memtest86. https://www.memtest86.com/

That does sound concerning. Issues with the wiring in the house?

That  looks like a great software, thank you.(couldn't find the wattage info yet)

No overclocking whatsoever.

Yet, the wiring is horrible, it's currently in a residential buildings basement that has like 30 years old wiring.

I will try pulling ram out, and putting them back in, and running memtest as you suggested now. Thanks!

Hey,

Which CPU are you using?

Here are a few options you can try:

- Updating Windows

- Completly Reinstalling Windows

- Check wire connection in your house

or this one can be a game changer

- Try resetting your BIOS, I mean load all the BIOS settings to optimized defaults

I hope this helps :)
