So, i dont play games but i wanted to run both 4K displays at 4K, but my motherboard only has one output that cn do that. So i bought a cheap 760 which also has one output. I read online that you could combine iGPU on one screen and dedicated on one. Ofc you cannot play on both screens and there are limitations, but as i dont play games i dont see that as an issue.

Trouble is that my iGPU wants tot take over the screen my GPU is running. The moment i uni nstall intel driver. The screen goes back to GPU nvidia driven. But windows recognizes that there are 2 4k screens and acts like it, but my second monitor is completely black. I can move my mousw over to the second screen and stuff. But i cannot swe anything on it. It is as though both iGPU and GPU are fighting to display on one of the screens, but windows acts as 2x screens are active.

In my Bios i have.

Primary initation as PED and not IGP (IGP made me habe to do CMOS reset as i never was able to enter bios anymore as screens would flicker forever and suddenly windows login appeared).

Shared mem or whaterever id "32M"

IGD Multi Monitor = Enabled.

What should i do? Am i missing any intel drivers?

Bios is the on MSI gaming M5 with i7-8700K

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

in my experience, my motherboard disables iGPU if it detects a dGPU

I only had to go into bios to re-enable iGPU and it'll work.

not sure about what you did there though...

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately
